Hi, let me start by saying I hope you are enjoying this website as much as I am making it for you, I am Martin and I am and the club photogragher for the AACI. If you have been to Billing for one of our events you may have seen me drunk in the corner! Not! (next to the tent maybe!) but you may have seen me running around the show field on a Sunday parking cars up and taking pictures!

I first started going Drag Racing in the early 1980's at Avon Park it was known as then, now Shakespeare County Raceway, back then the sound reflecting wall was not there and everything was on the other side of the strip! A days racing back then was a good do, seeing cars like paranoia the rail dragster with, if I remember right a V12 Jag Motor giving it plenty down the strip! Them were the days of party all day, an Night, NOTHING CHANGES DOES IT!!!!

I did the drag meets for a lot of years and for unforeseen things I stopped going, then about 5years ago I started doing the American Show an Shine side of the American life style, it was a change from the drags, more of a chill out weekend than being woken up at 6am by a drag car starting up next to your tent with no headers on!!!!! Always interesting!!!!!! (Why we always camped next to the bloody pits I will never know!)

After the first few Shows I did at the back end of the year Brid and Sheffield I went to Billing Aquadome for the Spring Nationals hosted by the American Auto Club International, Its was a good show and I never stopped going to any of them since.

So one night I was sat in my chair having my supper and thought "you know you don't see many reports of shows on websites really apart from one site I have seen" so on that note Drakies Americans was born in my mind although Building a Website was something I did not have a clue about let alone how to even get a picture up on the internet!!!!! So my Mission was at shows to do my bit of marshalling and get some pictures for a show report for the site that had just been born!!!!!!! (When I say born I mean a Scrappy one paged website at this time)

So that's How this site was made and how it has grown over the last year! I hope that my website has covered many shows you have missed over the year and you have enjoyed reading my show reports as much I have enjoyed putting them up for you to look at.

My Website is always growing, and I am always adding to it so keep looking back every now and again to see if there are any new things on here, I do have to say that on my Readers Rides Page there has been nothing on there for a while, I do have some fantastic reports to go on there but the people that are putting them together are also very busy so there will be some rides on there just keep having a quick check back.

There will be a Show Report from the Hot Rod Drags this year as Sheffield Steel City Cruisers are moving there meet one week so they can be there, and SO WILL I!!!!!!!!
